The location of the BAYR is the
Hyatt Regency Minneapolis and all BAYR sessions will be held inside the Hyatt. Walden considers the safety of all those onsite at the
Hyatt Regency Minneapolis for the BAYR as our top priority. The Hyatt uses moderate, pleated, air filters, at a MERV-8 rating. Fresh air is also circulated throughout all areas of the hotel, and they utilize exhaust fans for air removal.
In partnership with the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis and per CDC guidelines, we will be providing spatially distanced seating and limited capacities in meeting rooms. Students will attend sessions in groups of no more than 15-19 attendees. One Walden faculty member will lead each group. We anticipate about 50-58 students and approximately 10 faculty/staff in attendance.
All attendees are expected to adhere to Minnesota’s current
guidelines for face coverings. Masks and/or face shields are required for all Walden University students, faculty, and staff during sessions and activities in and around Walden meeting spaces, regardless of vaccination status and COVID test results.
Due to the layout of the meeting room space, transitioning short distances and/or the use of elevators, stairways or escalators to/from event session locations may be required. In addition, other groups or organizations (private or public, for-profit or non-profit) may be offering an event in meeting spaces adjacent to spaces dedicated for the Walden event. Due to privacy regulations, Walden is not provided other event or group names until arrival at the venue. Walden does not endorse any event, group or organization hosting events in meeting spaces shared with Walden University. Additionally, as you are acting as a representative of Walden University while attending your academic event, you are expected to comply with standards of professional conduct as specified in the Walden University Student Handbook.
