Implications for Non-Participation
APA does not recommend teaching remote (virtual) test administration. In order to support your academic progress through completion of the BAYR cognitive and personality assessment courses which are required prior to field placement, Walden is planning an in-person experience that will be taking place as noted above. This experience will include the instructional components of the psychological assessment courses. All other course content will be completed virtually.
Students who opt to not attend the in-person component of the BAYR 4 courses have the option to earn an Incomplete and wait up to 3 quarters to complete the in-person requirement. Students who choose this option and have additional coursework that does not require the course as a prerequisite, may continue completing required coursework while awaiting completion of the in-person BAYR 4 requirements.
Students will not be able to start field experience until all BAYR 4 course requirements are completed successfully. If students do not complete the in-person requirement, the Incomplete will convert to an F after 3 quarters.
